The social network for poker players
PokerNexus is where poker players post hands, argue strategy, and keep up with the poker world. Create a profile with a unique handle, and receive personalized updates through a feed comprised of nothing but the game you love. It's 100% free for players and venue managers to join. You can explore the forums, poker venues, live and upcoming events, posts from players and pros alike, and embedded poker content, including hand equities and ICM calculations.
A post here carries more than words. Name the players in a hand, tag the room it happened in, attach the photos, and anyone reading can comment, like it, or pass it along to someone who needs to see it. Your feed comes in three views. For You blends the people you follow with what is drawing attention elsewhere, Discover is the players you haven't found yet, and Following is only the ones you already have. When a conversation outgrows a feed, that's what the forums are for, and when it isn't for everybody, there are direct messages, one to one or in a group.
You won't need a second tab for the math. The equity calculator covers Hold'em, Omaha, Pineapple, and Stud, the ICM calculator handles the chip-to-money end of a tournament, and both of them live right inside the composer. Solve a spot, and the answer posts as a live card showing the cards, the board, and the numbers, so the people reading can check your work instead of squinting at a screenshot.
The room directory runs to close to two hundred US card rooms across twenty-nine states, every one of them with an address you can navigate to, and the hours and the games each room spreads filled in as we confirm them. Sort by distance, filter by game or stakes, follow the rooms you play, and send one to whoever is asking where to go tonight. If you work at a room and want its page kept straight, tell support, and we'll get you access to it.
How much of this is public is up to you. Make your profile private, and new followers become requests you approve one at a time. Blocking and reporting sit on every byline, every thread, and every room. And all of it runs in a browser today, with native iOS and Android apps in testing right behind it.
Frequently asked questions
What is PokerNexus?
PokerNexus is a social network built for poker players. You get a profile and a handle, you follow the players and topics you want to hear from, and you post hands, results, and questions to a feed that's nothing but poker. The forums are there for the long conversations, direct messages for the private ones, and the room directory for the nights you're deciding where to go play.
Is PokerNexus free?
Yes, and it stays free. Posting, following, the forums, direct messages, the room directory, and both calculators cost nothing, there's nothing to buy anywhere on the site, and there's no paid tier or trial that runs out. Joining does take an invite code for now. Signing up will be available to everyone once the iOS and Android apps clear their store reviews.
Can I play poker for real money on PokerNexus?
No. PokerNexus isn't a card room, and it isn't a gambling service. There's no game here at all: no real-money play, no play money, no wagering, no sweepstakes, and no prizes. When you see a tournament or a cash game named on the site, it's one running at an independent room, described so you can go and play it there. Our terms of use say the same thing in full.
Is there a PokerNexus mobile app?
The PokerNexus website runs in any modern browser, whether on a desktop computer, phone, or tablet. Native iOS and Android apps are actively being built and tested in preparation of upcoming store listings. Both the website and mobile app share the same user account, so nothing you post now has to be moved or redone once those apps are released.
Do I have to be a professional player to join?
Not at all. This is for anyone who plays: the $1/$2 regular, the tournament grinder, the person whose poker is a home game twice a month. If you've got a Hendon Mob, WSOP, or WPT profile, you can share it in your PokerNexus profile. The only requirement is that you're aged 18 or over.
What poker tools are built in?
Two, and both are free to use without an account: an equity calculator for Hold'em, Omaha, Pineapple, and Stud, plus an ICM calculator for the chip-to-money end of a tournament. What makes them worth having here is where a result goes. It posts into a hand, a thread, or a message as a live card showing the cards, the board, and the numbers, so nobody has to take a screenshot's word for it.
Can I find cardrooms and tournaments near me?
Both, on the same tab. Live opens on the schedule — tournaments and series in date order, from what is running right now to what is on next week, filtered by buy-in, guarantee, or game. Beside it, the venue directory covers close to two hundred US rooms across twenty-nine states, and every one of them carries an address you can navigate to, with the hours and the games it spreads filled in as we confirm them. Sort by distance, filter by game, stakes, or open right now, and follow the rooms you play. Schedules are confirmed room by room, so a room's own page is where its full calendar lives.
How is PokerNexus different from a poker forum, or from poker Twitter?
A forum is threads, and a general-purpose feed is everybody's everything. This is both, and it's only poker. You follow people and tags and read a feed, or you open the forums when a question needs a thread instead. The real difference is what a post can carry: a hand here names the players in it, tags the room it happened in, and embeds a solved equity or ICM result as a card.
Can I keep my profile private?
Yes. Turn on a private account in Settings, and while the metadata related to your account — such as name, handle, avatar, and bio — remains public, only followers you approved can see your posts and post attachments, your followers, and who you follow. New followers arrive as requests you accept or decline one at a time, and you can go back to public whenever you like; everyone still waiting is approved when you do.
How do you handle harassment and abuse?
Block other users to stop seeing their posts, comments, and notifications, and to prevent messages between the two of you. You can also report a user, post, forum thread, comment, tag, or venue, supplying the reasons scoped to whatever it is you're reporting. The terms of use define the rules and the possible outcomes when someone breaks them, and our child safety standards cover anything involving a minor.
Do I need an invite or a waitlist code?
Yes, but only for a limited time. If you can't wait for the flood gates to open, send an email to support@pokernexus.com.
Who is behind PokerNexus?
PokerNexus is built and run by PokerNexus LLC, independently of the poker venues it lists. We don't run games, offer contests, take a rake, or earn anything on a player walking into a venue they found here; the listings are here because the information is useful.
